Rule Number One

Never write in your blog that you’re going to do something, in case you don’t get around to finishing it.

In this case, self-inflicted peer pressure had no effect. I did not update my site layout and add new features as I said I would. I’m not even particularly bothered that I didn’t finish what I started.

I’ve also decided that I’m going to stop saying “I didn’t because in the end I couldn’t be bothered” and actually speak the truth - “I didn’t because I’m chronically overworked”. It has a much nicer ring to it.
