CS-RCS Toolbar for Dreamweaver

Component Software’s cs-rcs is a great little revision control program. Check it out on their site: http://www.componentsoftware.com (the single user version is freeware).

I converted the ColdFusion Studio/HomeSite toolbar to the new dwmx format, and Neil Robertson-Ravo packaged the mxp installation file for me - thanks Neil! You’ll need to use the Macromedia Extension Manager to install it.

Download the file here.

The toolbar assumes that you have cs-rcs installed in the default directory:

c:\Program Files\Component Software\CS-RCS\

If this is not the case, you’ll need to modify the following file:

drive:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Toolbars\csrcs.xml

Edit it in NotePad or something similar. Change all references to the c:\Program Files\ etc to your own path. That’s it!

About

I’m Kay Smoljak, a partner in Clever Starfish, a web design and development business based in sunny Perth, Western Australia.

I’ve been a ColdFusion developer since around 2000, when I started with CF version 4.01. I’m involved with my local Perth ColdFusion User Group as well as AWIA, the Australian Web Industry Assocation. I write for SitePoint on ColdFusion and am part of the Adobe Ambassador program.

This is my technical blog, where I rant and rave about ColdFusion, Fusebox, and occasionally about web standards, usability, accessibility and search engine friendliness. I also have a personal blog but I cannot vouch for the quality of content found there!
