So I am going to Web Directions, after all…

I was planning to lay low on the conference circuit this year – our business is expanding like a runaway train (what global financial crisis?) and I need to focus all my attention on keeping it on the rails. But, opportunities I would be crazy to miss just keep coming up – I went to WebDU as a Media delegate for SitePoint earlier this year, and I’m speaking at cf.Objective(ANZ) in Melbourne in November. And of course I’m heavily involved in the Edge of the Web conference in Perth in November too.

Now, I’m also going to Web Directions South in Sydney next week to help out on Adobe’s expo stand!

So, if you’re going to WDS, drop by and say hello. We’ll be doing some demos and other cool stuff and I’ll be flying the ColdFusion flag (well, someone has to!).

John and Maxine have organised a whole bunch of events for Australian Web Week around the conference. There’s a whole ton of them but make sure you come along to WebWiz – a free RockWiz style quiz event which should be a ton of fun, on Tuesday night. AWIA are doing this instead of the traditional Port80 Sydney, and will be announcing the Eastern States-based finalists in the 2009 Australian Web Awards at the same time.

Good times! See ya there!
